Harry Belafonte, Jr. is recognized as the Black Insititute's Person of the Year for being the living embodiment of The Black Institute's mission to shape intellectual discourse, dialogue and impact public policy uniquely from a Black perspective, a perspective which includes all people of color in the United States and throughout the diaspora.
